Paper Bakery Anniversary GDT!

Hey all! I'm super excited to share the projects I did for Paper Bakery Kits' anniversary party (PBK is one this year!)! I was so lucky to be chosen as one of the 4 guest designers using the June Kits. (Project Kit and Add-on <---click us!!) (My post over there is HERE <--- click me!)

All of my projects used a mix of each kit... Sarah does such an awesome job mixing and matching that no matter what you pull out it all goes together perfectly :)

Here they are -

Reese/Feed Me

This one is pretty self-explanatory haha! I used the 7 Gypsies tray to highlight what my dog is always thinking I'm sure... Feed Me! And yep, those are real milk bones! Zip-dry will glue anything to anything I've found out :)

Paper Topiary -

Next up I created this little topiary for the small's room. I used part of each paper in the kits right down to the packaging! The tie (I don't know what to call it) and front of the pot are the little bags the embellies come in and the green tissue the kits are wrapped in!

Yogurt & Cupcakes -

I really love how this one turned out :) It shows off how well the small one can get so messy but still be a little diva at the same time. We are in trouble when she is a teenager ;) The bg strips are the leftover negatives from the circles I punched for the topiary. They matched the colors I was thinking of for this photo of the small so well I had to use it! Everything on this page is a mix of the kits as well other than the title alphas and mist.

Grow - Garden Journal -

This one is my FAVE FAVE FAVE! I had a ridiculous amount of fun putting this together! I knew I wanted an artsy journal but not what I was going to use it for. I was playing around with all the little bits and pretties from the kits and the clear facet reminded me of a lady bug so I turned it into one. This is what happened from there :) A journal to keep track of all the plants, flowers, etc, that I have in the yard year to year. Again everything is from the kits other than the mist and old brag book I had laying around.

So as always let me know what you think and make sure you go check out Paper Bakery Kits!

Thank you sooooooooooooo much to Sarah and her spectacular team for having me this month! I really enjoyed playing along with all of you girls :) xoxo

Are YOU Mom Enough? TIME mag controversy. I am. Not what they think though.

This is a crafty blog, I know, but I do stray when I feel the need. Have you had the unfortunate experience of looking at (or actually reading... I haven't and won't) the Time cover article? Wondering what you think. If you have a look at The Dose of Reality she feels like I do. And this comment is EXACTLY how I feel~

Erin said:
I have always believed that all moms are great moms–whether they work, stay home, have one kid or five kids, adopt, delivery vaginally or via c section, bottle feed or breast feed, etc etc. as long as they are trying their damndest “to (raise) upstanding, productive members of society who don’t suck.” Like one of your amazing recent columns pointed out, why are we as moms so judgemental and critical of other moms?!? We are all working towards a common goal so why do we have to be so hateful towards one another?!?
So thank you Time Magazine, for driving the knife in alittle deeper. Please make those women who can’t or don’t want to breast feed, for whatever reason, feel like completely crappy moms. And make those who did what they could to nurse their child for one week, one month, one year feel inadequate that they did not continue to nurse them until they are driving themselves to school. Maybe the article is not solely about breast feeding (I won’t ever know because I won’t buy the magazine…EVER) but is about how those moms who are “attached” to their kids are better moms. “Are you mom enough” if you are more “attached” to your kid?!?
ARE YOU MOM ENOUGH?!? Whoever came up with that should be fired. Tomorrow.

I know for a damn fact I AM mom enough. For a thousand reasons more than Time thinks I should be. I also don't need to list them, come up with excuses, or even my intentions. All because I am mom enough. Time, I'm not linking to you, you don't deserve it.

Happy Mother's Day ladies! Regardless of your parenting style, work situation, beliefs and the 1000s of things Mom's can be judged on, I just wish you a day of happiness all about you!

The Paper Bakery April Sketch #1 plus some kits!

Hey all! Definitely last minute but I have my take on The Paper Bakery's April Sketch #1 done! I used the leftovers from my March Kit with the only addition of... never mind, I thought I added stick pins but those went on the kit project itself haha! Hope you will have a peek at that and 2 other kit projects below :)

The sketch is HERE <--- click me!

And my take-

The colors look a bit off, it's cold and snowy (YES! MORE SNOW... *insert which-ever-not-appropriate-word-to-scream-in-public-word here*) and just not a very nice day so I'll retake this on another *sunny* day! Thanks for stopping by as always! :)

These are a few of my fave kits from The Paper Bakery. I've been subscribed since November and have no intention of stopping anytime soon! Sarah comes up with the BEST projects and there is always more than enough to get a page or more after the kit itself is done. Love love love it!

This was the March Kit. I used it as part of the Small's Easter basket. It is full of pics of her favorite things right now.

And January! Another one for the Small. It has a pic from each month of her 1st year. I love having a mini to look through with those pics. It's amazing how fast they grow and turn into little people!

This one from Feb has probably been the most fun to do of all the kits. Don't get me wrong I do love them all, there is a reason I haven't skipped any ;) But I LOVE to be messy haha!

There you have it! Off to work on a little Echo Park goodness while watching my PVR'd Titanic documentary marathon. Let me know what you think, your comments make me as happy as mommy happy hour on days like today :D
